Stories That Stick
-
For most of human history, stories were told in rhyme and rhythm, because memory was all we had.
-
Poetry and songs leave deeper emotional and cognitive imprints than prose.
-
This makes vocabulary and cultural cues easier to internalize.
-
You’ll also pick up subtle social rules: gestures, tones, humor, and interactions.
-
These cultural cues rarely appear in textbooks yet shape everyday Danish life.

Selfstudy, gently guided
Reading, writing, and studying grammar… I’m not saying it’s boring, but I easily get distracted or feel unsure where to begin or how to see it in real context.
And I’ve a growing suspicion I’m not the only one.
The book club is a gentle way to stay accountable in your self-study. Even if you make a series of questionable decisions, your chosen text is there, so you have a first priority and always can participate in the meeting.
I created the book club because it’s what I personally miss, when learning other languages: a kind reminder to self-study, deep-diving into culture and picking up grammar along the way.
